The submission deadlines for the Croatian Film Association programmes have been extended: the Four River Film Festival, Youth Film Festival, Croatian Children’s Film Festival and Croatian School Film Showcase. The new deadline is June 15!
The 30th Youth Film Festival and the 18th Four River Film Festival, organized by the Croatian Film Association and Cinema Club Karlovac, will be held from 9th to 13th of September 2025 in Karlovac. Young filmmakers aged 14 to 20, whose films were completed after January 1st, 2023, can apply. The films will compete in four categories: fiction film, animated film, documentary film and freestyle film. The selection committee consists of Ana Đordić, PhD, a professor of Croatian language and Philosophy, film critic Boško Picula, PhD, and Director of Photography Dinka Radonić.

The 63rd Croatian Children’s Film Festival and the 13th Croatian School Film Showcase will be held in Metković from 2nd to 5th ofOctober, 2025. Anyone can apply – organizations, clubs, groups or individuals – with an unlimited number of works in the categories of: fiction film, documentary film, animated film, TV report and freestyle film.

The Festivals are organized by the Croatian Film Association and the Education and Teacher Training Agency, with co-organization by the Institution for Culture and Sports Metković and the don Mihovil Pavlinović Elementary School from Metković. The programs are held with the support of the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the Croatian Association of Technical Culture, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, the City of Metković and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
