We love following the work of our young filmmakers! Hadley Hillel from Seattle, USA is now making his film ERNIE available online.
Back in 2017 when ERNIE was selected at 10th Four River Film Festival and won the Audience Award, one of our selection committee members Boško Picula had many yellow words to share about it: “The infinitely talented young American filmmaker Hadley should be made eternally young so he could participate every year in youth film festivals like the one in Karlovac. But youth cannot be stopped, so Hadley will continue to show his amazing film world to adults. His film ERNIE is an example of masterful directing, screenwriting, acting and a particularly genius cardboard scenography telling everything through the tale of a new unusual friendship. Talent, above all else!”

ERNIE has won 12 Jury Awards, screened at Oscar® Qualifying film festivals and been awarded the Directing for Drama Student Emmy at the College Television Awards 2017. Hadley is also a Youth Cinema Network 2018 award winner with his film Calamity Falls.
It feels like an especially appropriate time to share a story about two lonely people coming together, so we are hoping it will strike a chord during these isolating times. Congrats, Hadley, we’re wishing you the yellowest luck!
