Listening to your cries and pleas that we should give you a little more time, we decided to do you a favour and give you a chance to complete your work! Thus, the deadline for submitting your films to our festivals has been extended by 15 days – the new deadline is June 15th. Before you sail into a new summer, let your films sail to our e-mail inboxes!
You can apply to the upcoming editions of the Four River Film Festival and Youth Film Festival, which are organized by the Croatian Film Association and the Karlovac Cinema Club and which will be held from 6th to 10th September 2022 in Karlovac, if you are between 14 and 20 years old and if your film was finished after January 2020. You can submit your films by clicking on this link. You can compete in these four categories: fiction, animated, documentary and freestyle film.
The selection committee for the 27th Youth Film Festival and 15th Four River Film Festival consists of Ana Đordić, PhD, professor of Croatian language and philosophy, film critic Boško Picula and director of photography Dinka Radonić. All details can be found on our official website https://frff.com.hr.
And the jubilee 60th Croatian Children’s Film Festival will be held from September 29th to October 2nd 2022 in Mali Lošinj, organized by the Croatian Film Association, Mario Martinolić Elementary School from Mali Lošinj and Open University Mali Lošinj.
If you want to be part of the biggest and oldest children’s event of the year, you can submit your films until June 15th. Each group, club, organization or individual can submit an unlimited number of works to the Festival within the following categories: fiction film, documentary film, animated film, TV report and freestyle film. The freestyle film category fits experimental films, hybrid video works containing several film genres, music videos, films made for a certain purpose and works that cannot be classified in the other four categories. Films can also be submitted to the workshop film category, in which the involvement of the workshop mentor is much greater than the engagement of the participants.
The works can be submitted online on the official Croatian Film Association website by accessing the following link. The Croatian Children’s Film Festival visits a different city every year. This year, Mali Lošinj will become a temporary film centre for our youngest film lovers.
